Stories From The Truck

Every move has a story. Here are a few.

The recliner that wouldn't quit. The 200-gallon aquarium. The three-man stair carry. Real jobs, told straight.

The recliner that wouldn't quit

Wrapped, padded, and rolled — the Point B way.

When this oversized recliner came through, the crew didn't break a sweat. Three layers of moving blankets, full shrink-wrap, secured straps, and a four-wheel dolly. By the time it hit the truck, it was safer than it was in the living room. This is the standard on every job — even the ones nobody's watching.

Treadmill day

Heavy, awkward, fragile electronics — handled.

Treadmills are a nightmare for the average mover: heavy frames, delicate consoles, weird balance points. The Point B crew strapped this ProForm down on its own moving blanket, secured the deck, and walked it out without a single scratch on the hardwood. No drag marks, no door dings.

The 200-gallon aquarium

If you can wrap glass like this, you can wrap anything.

A custom-built tall glass aquarium with no easy grip points. Walt's solution: suction-cup glass handles, three full pads, taped seams, and two movers walking it slowly to the truck. Zero shifting, zero stress. The owner's reaction: 'I thought we'd have to leave it behind.'

Stairs, paint cans, no margin for error

Three-man stair carry. Finished construction. Zero damage.

A freshly-painted custom build, fragile finishes, narrow stairs, and a heavy upright safe to bring up to the loft. The crew set drop cloths over the new finishes, padded every corner, and ran a three-man relay up the stairs. Nothing on those walls so much as got scuffed.
